Kalidas Jethabhai House - Termite Treatment - The regular maintenance

As part of the regular maintenance of Kalidas Jethabhai House by the CHC team, the wooden structure was treated in May of 2023 to prevent its timber members from being attacked by termites. Since wooden buildings in Dharmaj are constantly faced with the issue of termite infestation, termite treatments at Kalidas Jethabhai House are carried out twice a year.

This round was done on the dismantled back wing, front wing and over all the timber recovered during the dismantling of the back wing. A material shed was built on-site to store all the timber members that were recovered while the back wing was being dismantled in May 2022. An odourless insecticide was carefully sprayed over all the wooden members. To prevent termites from rising from the ground, holes were drilled along the floor at regular intervals and the insecticide was injected into them.
