Mukhi Delu - Stakeholder Consultation by Master's in Conservation and Regeneration - Architectural Conservation Studio - (Batch 2022)

As part of the Masters In Conservation and Regeneration (MCR) Studio, second semester students documented and conducted assessment studies on Mukhi Delu. A holistic approach to any conservation project, especially one as significant as Mukhi Delu, should take into account the suggestions and inputs of the local stakeholders. 

The identified stakeholders were invited by students for a friendly discussion on-site. This exercise proved to be fruitful as the residents of Dharmaj shared their memories of the building & suggestions and ideas for adaptive reuse. The documentation, study, assessment and stakeholder consultation together helped each student propose a strategy for conservation and a new use for the building.
